Dear Youngsters,

I would like to state that engineering is the right choice to have a successful career in the ever-evolving high-tech world of the twenty-first century, and Akdeniz University, Faculty of Engineering is the right choice that will lead you to the result on this path. In the globalizing world, we see that there is a great demand for manpower who knows the latest technologies adopted by the industry and can use them in a solution-oriented manner as required by engineering. In this direction, our philosophy in education as a faculty; To train engineers who have learned engineering methods well, defined the problems related to their field and gained the ability to implement rational and innovative solutions, are compatible with teamwork, have developed leadership characteristics, adopt professional ethical values, and are sensitive to environmental and social problems. Curriculums and contents of all our departments providing education within our faculty are created with the participation of our stakeholders with the scope and competence to train the engineers we target, and are updated to meet the needs when necessary. A significant part of our courses are planned practically, and our students are provided with the opportunity to develop themselves in the fields they want with a large number of elective courses, while our double major and minor programs give our students the opportunity to gain competence in other disciplines. In addition, our students have the opportunity to study at prestigious universities abroad with which we cooperate and to do internships abroad. Our academic staff who carry out our education consists of scientists who have been trained in different universities in our country and abroad, have high recognition in their fields, and have a high level of teaching and research motivation. Our laboratories, where our students receive hands-on training, are equipped with technological devices.

I would like you to know that you are lucky to be able to benefit from all these opportunities offered to you for your professional development at Akdeniz University, which is located in Antalya, one of the world's favorite cities with its historical background, natural beauties and climate, and is on the list of world green campuses. I happily and proudly follow the success of the graduates of our faculty, wish our students success in their studies and studies, and invite engineer candidates to become members of Akdeniz University, Faculty of Engineering, which I am honored to serve as the Dean of, in order to gain a good learning experience. I wish you happiness and success…
